Aurora Seco

Full Professor at the Universitat de València (Chemical Engineering Department).

Long experience in research activities with emphasis on nutrient removal and recovery from wastewater, aerobic and anaerobic MBRs for wastewater treatments and more recently nutrient and energy recovery from urban wastewater by using a SAnMBR and microalgae cultivation. She is a founding member and coordinator of CALAGUA research group. She has collaborated in several competitive research projects  and research contracts for technology transfer with companies related to wastewater treatment.

Results obtained in the research projects have been published in more than 80 papers in different peer-reviewed international journals and presented in numerous international conferences. She is referee of several scientific publications and member of the IWA and WEF.

Prof. Seco is Coordinator of the Innovation Deal “Sustainable Wastewater Treatment Combining Anaerobic Membrane Technology And Water Reuse”.
