Maritime Spatial Planning is recognised a key enabler for Sustainable Blue Economy (Sustainable Blue Economy Strategy, COM (2021) 240 final), the Blue Pillar of the EU Green Deal. Mediterranean EU countries are finalizing and implementing their Plans, while non-EU Mediterranean countries are more and more understanding the importantance of MSP while developing their Blue Economy and Blue Sectoral Strategies.
