A new neneration of packaging: Infinity RePROJECT®

A new neneration of packaging: Infinity RePROJECT®

In recent years, growing regulatory pressure across Europe—from the PPWR to the Green Deal—and increasing consumer demand for sustainable solutions have driven a profound transformation in the packaging industry. Packaging is no longer just about protecting a product, but about conveying values, reducing environmental impact, and extending the lifecycle of materials. This is the context in which Infinity RePROJECT® was born, a project developed by Bartoli and recently awarded at the ADI Design Packaging Award in the Non-Food category.

Infinity RePROJECT®: Innovation that Makes an Impact
Bartoli is a historic paper mill founded in 1894 and based in Lucca. A family-run business for over a century, it has made research into cellulosic materials its distinctive strength, developing innovative technical solutions to replace high-impact materials. The company specializes in producing high-resistance technical papers: supports for gardening, special boards for the fashion industry (footwear and hangers), and sustainable, durable, and recyclable packaging. Each sheet is made from 100% recycled fibers and is designed to fully integrate into the recycling chain.

The Infinity RePROJECT® collection was born from a clear objective: to offer the market an elegant, durable, recyclable, and above all monomaterial solution capable of combining aesthetics, performance, and sustainability

The patented material features a distinctive 3D embossing achieved through an exclusive mechanical process, making it difficult to replicate. This added value not only enhances the visual uniqueness of the packaging but also serves as an effective anti-counterfeiting measure. The material is highly versatile and customizable: it can be configured to meet specific design and performance requirements, varying in color, embossing, density, and shape to ensure maximum adaptability to brand needs.

Functional Elegance for the Most Demanding Sectors
The collection is designed for all sectors where design and functionality must coexist: cosmetics, fashion, luxury food, home goods, and more. Infinity RePROJECT® allows the design of monomaterial packaging that complies with the latest European regulations, including PPWR, EUDR, and ESPR, ensuring durability, reusability, and recyclability in a single product.

Moreover, the packaging is not intended to end its life after purchase: the line is designed to be reused as a decorative item, fostering a deeper and longer-lasting connection between brand and end consumer.

Recognition and Future Vision
The award received at the ADI Design Packaging Award confirms the value of an approach that combines technical innovation, visual impact, and environmental responsibility. During the ceremony held at MARCA by BolognaFiere & ADM, Bartoli reaffirmed its commitment to developing ESG-aligned solutions that support a sustainable and circular transition.

All This at Ecomondo: The Ideal Setting for Applied Sustainability
Winner of the Lorenzo Cagnoni Award for Green Innovation, Infinity RePROJECT® fully embodies the spirit of Ecomondo: the ecosystem of sustainable innovation, where materials, processes, and ideas help define new circular production models. The initiative fits into the international debate on ecodesign and circular packaging, which will remain a core focus of the Paper District in 2025.

On the path to a new resource economy, Infinity RePROJECT® proves that beauty, functionality, and responsibility can be combined in a single choice: selecting a material that already thinks about tomorrow.
