BIO-ENERGY AND AGRICULTURE

Rediscover the energy transition at Ecomondo

The area dedicated to bio-energy is closely connected to the world of agriculture - both are represented within Ecomondo Bio-energy & Agriculture sector.

This is where the tangible transformation to circular, bio-based production comes to life, showcased by leading exhibitors and explored in depth through a rich programme of conferences and workshops. Here, you can dive into the bioeconomy value chain, stay updated on the latest technologies for valorizing agricultural and organic waste, and learn more about biogas and biomethane production.

This sector attracts a diverse and specialized audience: from agricultural professionals and service providers to engineers, consultants, and decision-makers from across industry and public administration. Research centres and institutions are also active participants in this vital space.

Main Partner

Ecomondo and CIB | A twenty years partnership

CIB has brought together the experience and best practices of its members—who over the years have become true environmental stewards in their territories and key drivers of the transition toward virtuous circular economy models—into the project Farming for Future – 10 Actions to Cultivate the Future: a roadmap for those who want to contribute to the ecological transition of Italian agriculture.

To promote the 10 actions, the Farming Days are organized—events hosted by CIB member farms and ambassadors of Farming for Future. These include on-farm tours with field demonstrations, activities, technical insights, and training sessions on Biogasfattobene® farming.

For the 2026 edition, the first event will take place on June 23 in Lombardy at Azienda Agricola Bizzoni (Caravaggio, BG), and the second on September 24 at Azienda Agricola Ubezio (Sozzago, NO), in Piedmont.

In 2024, the Farming for Future Foundation was also established, bringing together farmers, companies, and stakeholders who share the vision and the 10 actions of the project.
