Paolo Ferrecchi

Director General of the Regional Agency for Prevention, Environment and Energy of Emilia-Romagna (ARPAE).

Paolo Ferrecchi graduated in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna. He began his working career as a consultant of the Environment Unit of the Municipality of Bologna with the role of coordinator of the Environmental Impact and Quality Office and of the activities related to the VALSIA (Assessment Environmental Impact Studies) procedure. He then became Director of the Environment Sector and then Director of the Urban Mobility Sector of the Municipality of Bologna. He served as Director General in the Emilia-Romagna Region, first at the Directorate-General for Infrastructure Networks, Logistics and Mobility Systems and, starting in 2016, at the Directorate-General for Territorial and Environmental Management. Since July 2025, he has been the Director General of ARPAE Emilia-Romagna.
