Daniela Bernacchi

Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network Italia
 

After a career in marketing for major multinational publishing companies (Ipsoa), entertainment (Walt Disney), and energy (SHV), in 2007 Bernacchi moved into the non-profit sector, holding the position of General Director of two of the main Italian NGOs (WeWorld and Fondazione Cesvi), with a focus on humanitarian and development programs. Until March 2019, she was Board Member of “Alliance2015,” a network of leading European NGOs.
From September 2019 to January 2023, she served as Secretary General of the UN Global Compact Network Italy, the Italian Country Network of the United Nations Global Compact. From March 2023, she has held the role of Executive Director.
From 2020 to 2022, she was Alternate to the Chair of the UN Global Compact Regional Network Council for Europe. In the 2021–2022 period, she was a member of the Supervisory Advisory Board of Edison. In November 2022, she was appointed as Board Member of Fondazione SNAM, with her mandate renewed for a further three-year term in November 2025. Since July 2025, she has been a member of the Advisory Board of Consumer Forum. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Promoting Committee of the Salone della CSR. Starting form 2026, she is a member of the Scientific Committee of Ecomondo.
In 2023, she attended the “In the Boardroom” course for NED in the Board, and in 2025 she completed the “Women on Board” course.
