Angelo Salsi

University of Tuscia & Former Head of Department at CINEA - European Commission

Angelo Salsi is a graduate of the University of Bologna, Italy and began his career as an agro-meteorologist. In 1994, he joined the staff of the European Commission, and has focused there on the conservation of nature, environment and climate for the past 29 years. He has been associated with the EC's LIFE program since the start of his career, and has deep experience in the financing of environmental programmes across the European Union.

Angelo retired in October 2022 from his position as Head of the department “Natural resources, climate, sustainable blue economy and clean energy” in the European Commission executive agency.
