Green energy: Adicomp’s advanced solutions for gas compression

<<We design and build compressors for biogas, biomethane, natural gas, landfill gas, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen, always looking for advanced solutions that support the global transition to green energy.>> With these words, Pietro De Faveri Tron, Chief Executive Officer of Adicomp, sums up the mission of this Italian company, headquartered in Vicenza with branches in Brazil, India, and the United States. With more than 26 years of experience and over 10,000 systems installed worldwide, it has established itself as a leading player in gas compression and treatment.

Even customised design
Adicomp designs its compressors according to the specific properties of each gas, selecting technologies and materials that ensure reliability, ease of installation, and compliance with the regulations of the destination country. The company also produces gas treatment systems capable of reducing humidity levels to 0.01 mg/m³, equipped with filters to remove upstream impurities. An integration of functions that makes it possible to offer complete solutions, combining technical performance and environmental efficiency.

The expertise of its design team and the flexibility of its production process enable every project to be tailored to customer needs. <<Our standard range of systems meets most demands, but we also handle special, often complex, custom-developed projects,>> explains De Faveri Tron. <<Thanks to a widespread network of engineers, we can provide fast, skilled on-site support, while international certifications ensure quality at every stage, from design to commissioning, including post-sales technical assistance.>>

The evolution of the markets

Adicomp is meeting the needs of markets increasingly focused on customised, flexible, and sustainable solutions. <<There is growing demand for smart plants that can adapt quickly to regulatory changes and local energy requirements,>> goes on the CEO.

The Vicenza-based company’s response is constant innovation and actively listening to customers. <<The main challenge is to integrate increasingly efficient, digitalised technologies with solutions that reduce environmental impact. That is why we are investing in intelligent systems for energy recovery and process optimisation, actively contributing to a more sustainable and circular industrial model.>>

A strong European presence
Over the past year, Adicomp has significantly upgraded its facilities in Isola Vicentina, Veneto, with the completion of a new warehouse and workshop. A central hub at the service of various plants throughout Europe. <<Not only can we build our compressors at this site, but we are also able to manage both raw materials and finished products. The project has greatly improved the efficiency of our global operations in terms of material handling. By adopting lean principles, we have streamlined processes and shortened production times. Simplifying our processes is an essential part of our commitment towards a more sustainable business.>>

International expansion
Beyond its strong European base, the company’s outlook is global. <<We have embarked on a path of international expansion that has led to the opening of two new production divisions: the first in India and the second in Brazil,>> De Faveri Tron explains. <<It is highly rewarding to evolve from a European company into a global player, to directly serve markets that are complex from a logistical and fiscal point of view.>>

Local production allows the company to remain competitive and reduce delivery times, importing only key components from Italy. <<Entering the Brazilian market from our Country would be difficult, given the high import taxes and complicated transport logistics. With a local production facility, however, we can remain competitive in both price and delivery schedules. The same applies to our new Indian plant, where we can import critical components from Italy and assemble the compressors locally.>>

Now, Adicomp’s goal is to further strengthen its growth abroad. <<Alongside expanding our Brazilian and Indian operations, we aim to open a production facility in the United States, while continuing to invest in Europe. We plan to enter the German market next year.>>

Solid foundations for the future
A milestone came in July 2025, when Adicomp joined the Ingersoll Rand group, a global leader in professional compressed-air solutions for a wide range of industrial sectors. <<A strategic choice that broadens our global reach and accelerates innovation. Like our other partnerships, this one is also based on trust, a value that we are placing at the heart of our efforts to develop new relationships in international markets. Thanks to long-standing ties with suppliers, we can guarantee both quality and reliability.>>

With a strategy that combines global expansion, technological investment, and a focus on sustainability, Adicomp is working to shape a gas industry that is both more efficient and more environmentally responsible, laying the groundwork for a cleaner energy future.

Ecomondo, an opportunity to exchange ideas
In this regard, Ecomondo, the leading annual trade fair in the Green and Circular Economy sectors, scheduled to take place at the Rimini Exhibition Centre from the 4th to the 7th of November 2025, will provide a valuable opportunity to exchange views with international operators, keep up to date with regulatory developments and strengthen synergies with technological and institutional partners. <<This is a strategic appointment for our industry, serving as a European benchmark for environmental technologies and the circular economy,>> concludes De Faveri Tron. <<Adicomp has taken part for many years, also as a CIB member, to present advanced solutions for biogas and biomethane treatment.>>
