At Ecomondo, there is a dedicated district for trenchless technology, also known as No Dig. This thematic area is located within the Water Cycle and Blue Economy exhibition area.
Featuring its own event space, it is dedicated to promoting the technologies of the future that aim to minimize open-cut excavation, project completion times, social and environmental impacts, energy consumption, and accidents on construction sites.
The objective is to share best practices and the advantages of trenchless technologies—resilient and sustainable solutions for the installation, rehabilitation, and renewal of underground infrastructure for utilities such as electricity networks, gas and energy, water supply systems and sewer networks.
Other application areas in which the professionals active in this district operate include the stabilization of landslide-prone slopes and the remediation of contaminated sites.

Non-profit association, founded in 1994, dedicated to promoting and disseminating the culture and technical and scientific expertise of trenchless technologies (No Dig) among institutions, academia, professional associations, and industry professionals.
IATT is affiliated with the ISTT (International Society for Trenchless Technology), an international organization headquartered in London, bringing together 28 national associations representing 33 countries.
Today, trenchless technologies are increasingly recognized as a powerful tool for utility operators, enabling them to develop and maintain their networks more quickly and competitively, while also serving as an effective governance tool for the public authorities responsible for managing the territory.
As trenchless solutions encompass a wide range of technologies, selecting the most suitable one for each project requires a thorough understanding of the available options and the adoption of best operational practices. To support this, IATT is committed to publishing Reference Practices and Technical Standards issued by UNI (available on the Association's website) and to developing a professional training programme for the roles of Trenchless Manager and Trenchless Specialist.
