Where demand meets supply

Ecomondo, through its "Green Jobs & Skills" initiative, positions itself as a facilitator between job demand and supply, targeting:

 

  • Recent graduates and high school seniors from technical institutes

  • Young professionals

  • Workers looking to shift towards sustainability

  • Companies committed to the ecological transition

 

The initiative offers an event program focused on skills development, career guidance, and training, aiming to spark synergies between young talent and companies.

A project that looks ahead

Green Jobs & Skills is an initiative by IEG and Ecomondo, coordinated by Marco Gisotti - journalist, science communicator, and Scientific Director of the agency Green Factor.

 

As part of the broader Innovation Project, which includes the involvement of emerging businesses through Start-Up & Scale-Up and the Lorenzo Cagnoni Award, Green Jobs & Skills aims to be a true meeting point between job demand and skills supply, as well as a valuable opportunity for career guidance and orientation.

Are you a company?

If you are a company looking for talent, Ecomondo can be the right place to find the professional you need.

 

How does it work?

1) Log in to the Exhibitor Reserved Area using your credentials.

2) In the TOOLS section, click on Exhibitor Events and then on the Create Event button.

3) Enter the title, date, time, description, and category. Select Green Jobs as the Schedule type and click Save.

4) Your event will appear in the "Exhibitor Stand Events" program when filtered by the "Green Jobs & Skills" tag. Users will register for the event by submitting their CV.

5) In the Exhibitor Reserved Area, you will be able to view the list of candidates and download their CVs.

Are you a talent?

Are you a university student, graduate, PhD student, PhD holder, or researcher with an interest in the ecological transition and sustainability? At ECOMONDO, you can meet companies looking for new talent!

 

How does it work?

1) Open the ECOMONDO and KEY App, go to the "Exhibitor Stand Events" program, filter by the "Green Jobs & Skills" tag and find the opportunities that match your interests.

2) Once you find the company event that interests you most, register and upload your CV. You’ll have the chance to introduce yourself and find out what opportunities are out there for you!

 

PLEASE NOTE: to register for the event and upload your CV, you must have previously logged in to the Visitor Reserved Area.

ART-ER | Project management in the hands of experts

As part of the Green Jobs & Skills project, ART-ER – Skills and Territories Unit promotes the Green Jobs & Skills Tour, an initiative aimed at young talents who want to contribute to the green transition and sustainable development.

 

The Tour offers a free guided tour of the stands of companies based in Emilia-Romagna, giving participants the opportunity to discover innovative projects, learn about some of the region’s most dynamic businesses and engage directly with the professionals shaping the future of sustainability.

 

The aim is to build meaningful connections between talent and business, bringing together companies’ innovation needs and the skills of students, graduates and PhD candidates. It is an opportunity to showcase emerging talent, bring new ideas and skills to the fore, and strengthen a regional community committed to the green transition.

UNIONCAMERE | A partner to strengthen Ecomondo’s commitment

The partnership with Unioncamere strengthens Ecomondo’s commitment to supporting the ecological transition, with a focus on:

  • Analysis of professional needs: leveraging data from the Excelsior information system to identify the skills demanded by companies and guide training program development

  • Career guidance: developing initiatives for students and workers, promoting their entry into the green job market

  • Skills certification: collaborating on the recognition of competencies acquired in non-formal contexts, ensuring their value and visibility in the labor market.
