Walter Facciotto

General Manager of CONAI - Italian National Packaging Consortium 

Walter Facciotto is the General Manager of CONAI, the National Packaging Consortium, that guarantees the achievement of the overall target of recycling and recovery packaging across the whole of Italy.

Facciotto gained his first experience in the packaging field working in the paper-making and corrugated board industry, responding to associative assignments. On the basis of the experience in this sector, which was later extended to include other packaging materials, he contributed to the development and to the affirmation of the Italian model of managing recovery and recycling of packaging waste, represented by the Consortium system, in Italy and abroad.

From 1999 to 2009 he held the office of CONAI Vice General Manager, dealing with the implementation of territorial strategies, focusing particularly on the ANCI-CONAI Framework Agreement, on which separate collection and recycle of packaging waste are based.
