Angela Giordano

Head of Institutional Affairs and Business Development at Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo

Angela Giordano holds a degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Politics at the Università Orientale of Naples and in European Union Law.
For over twenty years, she has been a working in Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo, the international Association of the Confindustria network that supports Italian companies in their internationalization process in Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey. 
In her activity she works in synergy with the Italian diplomatic network in Africa and the Middle East and with African and Middle Eastern embassies in Italy, carrying out activities to foster partnerships, business opportunities, and commercial and industrial collaborations between Italian counterparts and those in Africa and the Middle East, including the organization of business forums, sectoral webinars, B2B and B2G meetings, and both incoming and outgoing business missions.
The activities of the Association, supporting member companies, are carried out in close collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation;  Industrial Associations, Chambers of commerce, and local Investment Promotion Agencies; and with key financial stakeholders, both Italian—such as CDP, SACE, and SIMEST—and international, such as the multilateral banks African Development Bank and World Bank.
