Adriano Alfani

Adriano Alfani has been Chief Executive Officer of Versalis, Eni's chemical company, since January 2021. With over 25 years of international experience in the chemical sector, he has held positions of responsibility in various realities, businesses and fields, operating in global contexts. Under his leadership, Versalis has undertaken a transformation plan towards a chemistry based on portfolio specialization, circularity and biochemistry. Furthermore, Alfani holds several reference roles in the sector, including Vice President of Federchimica (with delegation for Europe), Member of the Board of Directors of Confindustria, Member of the Board of CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council) and of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. Alfani holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II.
