Event
The evolving landscape of water legislation in Italy and the European Union (EU) presents both opportunities and challenges for sustainable water regulatory framework. With the implementation of updated directives such as the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive (UWWTD) or Drinking Water Directive (DWD), as well as the regulation on water reeuse, policymakers, researchers, authorities, utilities and industry stakeholders must navigate complex regulatory requirements while addressing issues such as climate change, water scarcity, pollution control, and circular economy integration.
This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive overview of regulatory advancements, economic and financial mechanisms supporting water sector compliance, and the future of water governance and public-private partnership in Italy and the EU.
