Regionalisation of a regenerative Blue Economy for the Mediterranean

Regionalisation of a Regenerative Blue Economy for the Mediterranean brings together European institutions, regional authorities, research organisations and Mediterranean networks to discuss how cooperation and place-based initiatives can support the transition towards a regenerative Blue Economy. The session will showcase experiences linked to the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, highlighting the role of regions in fostering collaboration, innovation and stakeholder engagement. Contributions from the European Commission, regional governments, research centres and Mediterranean initiatives will provide insights into ongoing programmes, strategic actions and opportunities for strengthening cooperation across the Mediterranean basin. The event will conclude with reflections on future perspectives for regional engagement within the Mission Ocean and Waters framework.
