Event
The systematic adoption of industrial symbiosis solutions, resource diagnosis and the transition towards circular eco-district models, the Italian evolution of eco-industrial parks, is
progressively establishing itself as operational practice in national production systems.
In line with the framework of the main European policies for the transition towards the circular economy (Circular Economy Action Plan, Green Deal, EU Industrial Strategy, Clean Industrial Act, Industrial Accelerator Act, …), the adoption of a dedicated National Plan for such strategies can represent a significant added value for the country. This also through the introduction of appropriate instruments aimed at promoting the diffusion of standardised methodologies and interoperable digital tools. In this context, the X edition of the Conference of the Italian industrial symbiosis network - Symbiosis Users Network (SUN), aims to collect technical-scientific contributions from organisations that have implemented industrial symbiosis initiatives, resource diagnosis and sustainability and circularity solutions in industrial areas, contributing to the transition towards eco-industrial park models. Contributions relating to support tools, digital platforms, governance models and programming initiatives adopted at central and local level, aimed at promoting the implementation and dissemination of such practices, are also invited.
This edition of the conference is dedicated to the memory of Silvia Sbaffoni, an ENEA researcher who dedicated, with passion and competence, a large part of her scientific work to these topics.
