Fertilizers from sewage sludge: production, quality and applications

Agorà Augusto - Bioeconomy Area Hall D1

Soil health and fertility are increasingly affected by anthropic activity that act on the quality of the environment, and in particular on climate change. In this context, it is of utter importance to preserve all possible sources of organic carbon and nutrients for soil and crops, including sewage sludge. The conference aims to provide an update on the production and applications of sludge based fertilizers, on their characteristics and agronomic properties, as well as highlight the quality requirements necessary to guarantee their safe and environmentally friendly use.
