Circular Economy Act: challenges, opportunities and implications for European packaging

Europe is called upon to transform the circular economy into an industrial policy lever, capable of strengthening competitiveness, accelerating decarbonisation and creating a single European market for secondary raw materials. The packaging supply chain represents a strategic sector for achieving these objectives, through harmonised rules and investments in innovation and recycling. In this context, the results of the study 'A new European industrial policy for the circular economy', carried out by CONAI and TEHA Group, will be presented, identifying the priorities for strengthening European industrial leadership and enhancing the contribution of the circular economy to the growth and resilience of the continent. The event will bring together representatives of national and European institutions, and of some EPR schemes, to discuss the opportunities offered by the future Circular Economy Act and the conditions needed to translate them into concrete results.
A high-level discussion to build a shared vision of competitiveness and sustainability in the Europe to come.
