Samir Traini

Biography

Samir Traini is a Partner at REF and works on economic regulation of local public services. He holds a degree in Economics and Business from the Faculty of Economics 'Giorgio Fuà' at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, and in 2004 he obtained a Master's in International Economics and Finance from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. At REF since 2004, he is responsible for economic regulation studies and consulting activities aimed at public bodies and companies in the areas of tariff, economic and financial planning, with particular reference to the water service, environmental and energy sectors. He has also gained extensive experience in energy price analysis. In 2016, he was included by ARERA in the list of experts of the Permanent Observatory for energy, water and district heating regulation. He regularly collaborates on research activities and Position Papers of the REF Laboratory on local public services.
