Roberto Tatò

Biography

Graduated in Economics and Business, he worked at the Ministry of Economy and Finance as a civil servant, dealing mainly with the regulation of public utilities and international activities related to State-owned companies. A senior official of the current Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy since 2017, he headed the office responsible for European policies of the current Directorate General for Consumers and Markets, dealing, among other things, with the negotiation of the EU Directive proposals contained in the 'New Deal for Consumers' package and the EU Regulation proposals contained in the 'Goods Package'. Since 2024, he has been heading Division III - Energy and Enterprises, Green Economy and Technologies, Blue Economy of the Directorate General for Industrial Policy of MIMIT, whose competences include the integration of industrial policies with national, European and international policies on energy, environment, sustainable development, and circular economy. Among the priority dossiers are the implementation of the Net Zero Industry Act regulation and the Ecodesign regulation.
