Roberto Frassine

Since 2007, Roberto Frassine has been Full Professor of Polymeric and Composite Materials at the Department of Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano. His main research topics are: Viscoelastic properties of polymers and composites. Time-dependent yielding and fracture of polymers and composites. Correlations between processing and structure and between structure and properties of polymers. Impact, fatigue and dynamic fracture of polymers. The main roles held are: - President of Assocompositi, the Italian association of the composites industry (since 2005). - Coordinator of the Master in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnologies at the Politecnico di Milano (from 2008 to 2016). - Director of the Polymer Testing Laboratory at the Politecnico di Milano (from 2010 to 2018). - President of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Europe (from 2011 to 2013). - President of EuCIA, the European composites industry association (since 2015). - President of UNIPLAST, the Italian national standardization body for plastics and composites (since 2016).
