Biography

Paolo Mazzucchelli is a business executive and, since 2018, President of Alfa S.r.l., the operator of the Integrated Water Service in the province of Varese. In May 2024, he was unanimously reconfirmed for his third term leading the company. Born in 1971, he built his professional experience in the industrial sector, developing expertise in business organisation, production, supply chain and process management. He holds a degree in Business Economics and completed his training through several managerial programmes at SDA Bocconi and other training institutions. Since 2018 he has been at the helm of Alfa, where he has guided the aggregation process of local water cycle companies and the development of the single provincial operator. Under his presidency, Alfa has consolidated its industrial dimension, investing in infrastructure modernisation, sustainability, circular economy, water reuse and technological innovation. Alongside his managerial activity, Mazzucchelli has gained significant experience in local institutions: he served as Mayor of Cairate from 2011 to 2021, was a member of the Board of Directors of the ATO of Varese from 2016 to 2018, and was a member of the Department of Local Public Services, Environment, Agricultural Policies and Green Economy of ANCI Lombardia. Since 2023 he has also been leading MEI International, a company in the mechanical-textile sector, with strategic and managerial responsibilities. His professional career is therefore characterised by the integration of managerial skills, administrative experience and a strong focus on sustainable development and public services.
