Manuela Rontini

Biography

Manuela Rontini is Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Emilia-Romagna Region in the Giunta led by President Michele de Pascale. Born in Faenza in 1978, where she resides, she holds a Scientific High School diploma and studied Architectural Engineering. She is a public employee, currently on leave. Long committed to volunteering, she began her institutional career in 2010 as a Municipal Councillor in her city, also serving as Vice-President of the Budget Commission. In 2014 she was elected for the first time to the Regional Council of Emilia-Romagna and was re-confirmed in 2020. During the 10th legislature she chaired the Territory, Environment and Mobility Commission, while in the 11th legislature she led the Economic Policy Commission. Currently, as Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Region, she focuses in particular on prevention and adaptation to climate change, combating hydrogeological instability, civil protection, post-flood reconstruction and safety.
