Leonardo Manzari

Leonardo Manzari is a Senior Blue Economy Expert focused on Internationalization, Maritime Technologies, Stakeholder Engagement, Clusters Development, Business Coaching, Investment Attraction, Industrial and Commercial Development. Over the years, he has acquired a considerable seniority in various sectors, becoming a specialist in Blue Economy, Maritime Clusters, Technologies, Maritime Transport, Surveillance, Fishery and Aquaculture, Blue Skills. Since 2012, he is active in Blue Economy and Blue Growth initiatives, with particular focus on maritime technologies, through its co-operation with Consorzio Tecnomar, La Spezia EPS (later Blue Hub), Ligurian District of Maritime Technologies (cluster DLTM), and co-organization of SEAFUTURE. From 2018 on, through his think tank EIEAD, he is founder and shareholder of the newco Italian Blue Growth SRL (IBG) for the promotion of Blue Economy Technologies and Blue Growth, focusing on dedicated events and business conventions (SEAFUTURE, DEPORTIBUS, MITILYADE). Since January 2019, National Hub for Italy within the Assistance Mechanism of the WestMED Initiative (EC DG MARE and CINEA), and coordination of the Technical Group on Sustainable Maritime Transport and Alternative Fuels and of the WestMED Maritime Clusters Alliance. Within this contest he has promoted the S3 partnerships Shipbuilding Alternative Fuels Propulsion Systems Alliance (SAFA) and Marine Desalination and Reuse of Treated Waters (REMADE). Business coach for Blue Invest, Green Assist and EUDIS. In December 2024 he has founded AIDARA - the Italian Association of Desalination and Re-Use of Treated Waters. From Aug 2026, he is leading the consortium to support UfM activities of Twinning and Mentoring; Publications and Webinars in the Sustainable Blue Economy.
