Debora Fino

Biography

Debora Fino is Full Professor of Chemical Plants at the Politecnico di Torino, Director of the Department of Applied Science and Technology, and member of the Academic Senate. Her scientific activity concerns sustainable process engineering, circular bioeconomy, waste and biomass valorisation, biorefineries and CO₂ utilisation, with particular focus on material recovery and resource regeneration. Since 2020 she has been President of the Re Soil Foundation, which promotes soil health and regeneration by fostering dialogue between research, businesses, institutions and local communities. Her work integrates chemical engineering, industrial ecology and environmental assessment to develop solutions capable of returning carbon and nutrients to productive and natural cycles.
