Daria Povh

Daria Povh Škugor is Director of the Priority Actions Programme Regional Activity Centre (PAP/RAC) of UNEP/MAP. For over two decades, she has led and contributed to numerous coastal management and climate adaptation initiatives, from the Mediterranean to the city level. Taking an integrated, systemic approach, she has gained extensive on-the-ground experience in bringing policy, science and communities together. Her particular interest lies in UN SDG 17—building partnerships that turn shared goals into action. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Mediterranean Experts on Climate and Environmental Change (MedECC), and speaks and lectures on climate action, coastal resilience and sustainability. She holds an MSc in Coastal Zone Management from Ulster University and a BSc in Coastal Economy from the University of Split, and spent a year at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice working on a research project focused on managing the Venetian Lagoon.
