Daniele Rossi

Biography

Daniele Rossi, Adjunct Professor at Luiss Business School, Luxembourger and Europeanist, is an expert in industrial economics, with a focus on collaboration and competition between companies and markets. After experience at CENSIS with Giuseppe De Rita and in the IRI Group (Sofin – SPS SpA) with Gerolamo Colavitti and Michele Dau, from the 1990s he has dedicated himself to the agro-industrial and food sectors in Confindustria with Aldo Bassetti, Rudi Peroni, Giorgio Sampietro of Unilever, Luigi Rossi di Montelera, Giandomenico Auricchio and Filippo Ferrua of Ferrero, and then in Confagricoltura with Mario Guidi, Massimiliano Giansanti and Luisa Todini, holding roles as CEO, MD, DG and Chair in Rome and Brussels. He has developed expertise in strategic analysis, advocacy, industrial policy, design and organisation of industrial investments and supply chain partnerships at national and international level. He graduated with honours in Statistical and Economic Sciences at La Sapienza University of Rome, and won a Fulbright scholarship for a PhD in statistics at UCLA - Los Angeles - U.S.A. Today he is Head of the R&I Department at Confagricoltura, Vice President of the Agrifood Cluster, Delegated Councillor of AgroNetwork, V. Chairman of the R&I Groups of Copa-Cogeca and FoodDrinkEurope in Brussels, former DG of Federalimentare in Confindustria, Board Member of Conai and CIBUS, and Coordinator of the Food Technology Platforms in Europe, Sole Administrator of the Consorzio Birraviva, Coordinator of PNRR experts for the Umbria Region, Judicial Administrator appointed by the Court of Rome – Anti-Mafia.
