Claudio di Prisco

Born in Milan in 1964, he graduated in Civil Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and obtained a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino. Since 2006 he has been Full Professor of Geotechnics at the Politecnico di Milano. He is Director of a Master's programme in Tunnelling Engineering, President of the European Association ALERT Geomaterials and Vice President of FNIC (Italian Federation of Geotechnical Engineering). He has participated in numerous national and European research groups and is the author of over 180 scientific publications. His scientific activity mainly concerns Soil Mechanics and, in particular, soil-structure interaction and tunnel engineering. He has been a member of numerous technical committees and has carried out an extensive consulting activity, including in the legal field.
