Born in Chivasso (To) on 02/17/1958, a graduate of Perito industriale grafico, he was until 1998 an Entrepreneur in the graphics industry.
From 1985 to 1995 he held various local administrative positions.
From 1997 to 2005, he served two terms as Mayor of Chivasso (Turin) and as a Provincial Councilor, while from 2006 to 2013 he served as a Senator of the Republic and as Secretary of the Environment Committee during the 16th Legislature, where he was actively involved in legislative work and conferences in the fields of the green economy, energy, waste management, bio-based chemistry, and material recycling and recovery.
From 2015 to 2018, he served as President of UNIRIGOM, the Italian Association of End-of-Life Tire Recyclers.
From 2013 to 2022, he worked as a freelance consultant specializing in Institutional Relations and Communication in the Green Economy sector.
From 2015 to 2025, he served as President of the social cooperative Lavoro e Solidarietà, which operates in the Piemonte Region in the separate collection of urban textile waste.
From 2020 to 2025, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Biorepack, a consortium within the Conai system for bioplastic packaging.
Since 2020, he has been President of ECO Erion Compliance Organization, a multi-consortium system of producers for the management of Extended Producer Responsibility.
