Alberto Bernardini

Alberto Bernardini is a Partner at REF. He holds a degree in hydraulic civil engineering from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' and is a licensed professional engineer. He has gained over twenty years of managerial and consulting experience in the local public services sector, with particular focus on water services, energy, waste and gas sectors. In the first part of his career, he held managerial roles with operational, technical and economic responsibilities at leading sector operators, including Acquedotto Pugliese, CAP Milano and Hydro. Since 2007, he has been providing consulting services to utilities, institutions, banks and investment funds, dealing in particular with industrial planning, management control, organisational analysis, contractual and financial-economic aspects, due diligence, financing structuring, corporate transactions and NewCo start-ups. A Partner at Agenia since 2012, from 1st October 2025 he has been operating at REF following the merger between Agenia and REF Ricerche.
