On the 8th of November, REA organizes a session on the Circular cities and regions Initiative (CCRI).  Launched and funded by the European Commission as part of the Circular economy Action plan, the CCRI focuses on implementing the circular economy across Europe’s cities and regions. The event intends to give a general overview of the initiative and aims to present a total of 4 EU funded projects that are part of the CCRI initiative.
The first two projects, Frontsh1p and Agro2circular, aim to provide circular system solutions for sustainable growth and economic recovery in key product value chains (e.g. agrifood, water and nutrients, plastics);
The other two projects, Circular invest and Invest CEC, are two Project and Development assistance projects (PDA), that aim to support technically and financially Circular economy projects in order to make them more “attractive” for public and private investors. Circular Invest and Invest CEC will select Circular economy project via open Call for Expression of Interest, and this will result particularly attractive for project promoters or companies seeking support to finance their “circular” ideas.

The session is part of a broader ECOMONDO one-day event on Circular Economy and cities.
